Miura's forging techniques rearrange the molecular structure of the mild steel in a pattern that is uniform throughout the hitting area of the club in a manner that is unique to his clubs. This tightness in the grain structure of the metal is what gives Miura Wedges the controlled, soft feel that other manufacturers cannot achieve.

These are easily the nicest wedges every made, I just came back from the Roger Dunn Super Store in Santa Ana where I was inspecting the Titleist®, Cleveland®, Callaway®, and other wedges, measuring things like the length of the score lines, and face depth in the center, toe, and heel and it struck me that while these are all nice heads, by comparison it’s kind of like coming off a Chevy or Ford lot and then stepping into a Ferrari showroom.

These are so nice to look at that you will be reluctant to hit it for fear of scratching it, but once you do you will not be able to hit it enough, because the feel is beyond compare and the results will be nothing short of amazing.

We hand craft each of these to order, so we can put just about any shaft or grip you could hope to want as well as make them in any length, loft or lie should you prefer something other than our standard.

What is our standard? We have chosen a special True Temper Smokey Black Chrome Dynamic Gold S400 shaft designed especially for wedges.

We also use our own in house custom designed ferrule which is 1” long, and black with two silver rings at the top with a Mother of Pearl ring in between the two silver rings, this ferrule really compliments the special series 1957 stamping on the head.

Finally we are finishing it with a specially designed wedge grip designed by Winn, what makes it special is that it is an inch longer allowing you to grip down more easily for those in between ¾ type shots.

Folks it just doesn’t get any better than this, but if you have another shaft or grip you would like whether it be a Nippon, KBS, Fujikura, Aldila, Golf Pride, or any other, your wish is our command.

Because it is a Miura product it will receive extra attention including our proprietary process of spine aligning and laser floing the shaft for absolute ball striking purity at no additional charge.

Additionally if you desire head covers for your Miura Y Wedges, you need only ask, we are happy to provide the worlds finest, Club Glove’s in either Glove Skin or Neoprene at no additional charge.

“Special Grind” by Yoshitaka Miura

The special grind on this wedge was done by Yoshitaka Miura, himself a master craftsman after more than 20 years of training under his father, Katsuhiro Miura at the family forging facility in Himeji, Japan. The ‘Y’ on the sole not only represents Yoshitaka’s mark on the club, but also signifies the special and limited production of this club.

The Miura family's (Katsuhiro and his sons Yoshitaka and Shinei) research for the Series 1957 Y wedge included trips to North America and Europe to study a variety of playing conditions and turf structures. The family's goal was to create a wedge with the heal and toe relief that many golfers are now looking for, but at the same time not compromise the basic fundamentals of a high performance golf club. The challenge was to find the perfect balance between the heal and toe relief and the rolled trailing edge on the sole, which Yoshitaka has done. When this "special grind" is combined with the unique characteristics that separate Miura clubs from all others, such as density of grain structure, balance and feel, the result is a wedge that is eminently playable in a broad range of conditions. The feel and precision of the Series 1957 Y wedge can't be explained in words, it must be experienced to be understood
  • Feel, feedback and workability of a forged blade.

Miura's forging techniques rearrange the molecular structure of the mild steel in a pattern that is uniform throughout the hitting area of the club in a manner that is unique to his clubs. This tightness in the grain structure of the metal is what gives Miura made clubs the controlled, soft feel that other manufacturers cannot achieve.

Miura also uses a proprietary “spin welding” process to produce the industries’ most consistent hosel. This unique procedure ensures that the bore depths and hosel heights are identical on every Miura made head and the shaft of every club will be perfectly centered.

  • "Series 1957" - limited special edition

“Designed for players seeking the very best” says Katsuhiro Miura.

This new Miura “Series 1957” Yoshitaka wedges goes through the same forging process which makes the Miura Irons so successful in the consistency of the strike of the ball and in terms of feel.
