Trinity Wedge’s in Beryllium Copper and Carbon Steel

Trinity Wedges - It's Like Finding An Old Friend

That's how you'll feel the first time you swing the new TG 02 Spin Action Wedges. The unique head shape and innovative sole design combine to make the Spin Action Wedges the easiest-to-hit, most versatile wedges in golf -- from tight lies, deep rough and any bunker shot you'll ever encounter.

Try the TG 02 Spin Action Wedges, available in high performance beryllium copper or carbon steel with an elegant "cobalt" finish and break away from the sameness in wedge design.

All TG02 SPIN ACTION wedges feature square grooves that were USGA approved a decade ago, however unlike Ping we did not win a lawsuit against the USGA grandfathering them in for all time.

So in accordance with the USGA policies as follows;

It is important to remember that clubs available prior to Jan. 1, 2010 were designed to comply with a different set of groove specifications. Clubs that conform to the groove rules that were in effect prior to Jan. 1, 2010 will continue to conform to the Rules of Golf until at least 2024, unless the Condition of Competition is in effect. If the Condition of Competition is in effect, the clubs must comply with the specifications effective from Jan. 1, 2010.

This means that if you’re playing in a PGA, USGA or other event where the Condition of Competition is in effect these will not be allowed to the excessive spin these square grooves impart on the ball!

However if you’re a recreational player, then you are free to use these until the year 2024 without any fear of any reprisals.

You can stick it close and if your playing partners don’t like it then you can tell them they are free to buy some for themselves.

Beryllium Copper: Over the years the most popular wedges have been manufactured out of beryllium copper. The feel and spin control performance from these wedges is why golfers, of all levels, prefer this material. With our new sole design these may be the "best" performing wedges of all-time.

Carbon Steel: These wedges are made from a special heat-treat process, featuring carbon steel, (forging material) to promote feel and distance control. The final touch is our "cobalt" finish giving the club a look of elegance and sophistication. The finish on these wedges will wear to improve their performance.

Which material should you buy?

If you intend to adjust the lofts or lies then definitely the Copper, the copper is specially heat treated to be super soft and easily adjustable. The softness also creates more spin so if your approaches come in hot or you play a distance ball that doesn’t hold, then opt for the extra spin and bite of the Copper!

We often make Gap wedges out of the copper sand wedges by bending them from 56º to 52 or even 50º this works well as going to 52º changes the bounce from 13º to 9º, going too 51 will make the bounce 8º.

If your ball already stops or spins back some from the fairway, and your just looking for more control from the rough then opt for the Carbon Steel as it is a firmer feel and you wont have to worry about spinning the ball right off the green from the fairway.

These also are real eye openers with the Black Chrome finish.
